| | | | | Safety Update: Online Trends & Digital Citizenship The Howard School is aware of a viral social media trend involving an altered, sinister depiction of the Cat in the Hat. These AI-generated images and videos show the character lurking outside homes and schools. While intended as an online prank, the trend has caused concern among students and families across the country. We are not currently aware of any Howard School students who have encountered or participated in this trend. However, given the national attention it has received, we want families to know that we are aware of it and ask for your partnership in alerting us if it reaches our students or school community. Please speak with your student about avoiding this trend and remind them not to create, share, or repost concerning online content. If your student ever feels unsafe or encounters concerning content involving or targeting The Howard School community, please encourage them to report it directly to an administrator or teacher. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our community safe and informed. |
