| | Registration Is Open: Summer Academic Ignition for Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders Summer Academic Ignition focuses on strengthening the skills that matter most for upper school success—Math, Literacy, and Executive Function—in a supportive, small-group environment. Classes are intentionally capped at no more than 10 students, allowing for personalized instruction and meaningful progress. Students work closely with expert Howard School teachers and Speech-Language Pathologists, gaining strategies, confidence, and momentum to start the new school year strong. If you know a family with a rising upper school student who could benefit from this type of individualized academic support, please help us spread the word by sharing this opportunity with your network. |

Use Scheduled Internet Access to Create Healthier Habits Recommended by Tony Nelson, Director of Information Security, Systems, and Infrastructure Most home routers allow you to schedule Wi-Fi availability, making it easier to set healthy digital boundaries. Smart routines to try: -
School-night quiet hours: Turn off internet access for non-school devices at a set time. -
Homework-only windows: Allow access for school devices while pausing social or entertainment apps. -
Weekend flexibility: Offer extended access with clear, consistent boundaries. These routines support healthy screen habits, encourage independent time management, and reduce late-night distractions. Contact your internet service provider (ISP) to learn how to set up scheduled internet access on your home network. |
