Our students are gearing up for a month full of excitement, including events in the arts, Spirit Week (see below), and Homecoming on Friday, December 12.

The Weekly correction: Winter Break will begin on December 22 and continue through January 5.
Students will return to campus on January 6.

The Howard School Parents Association wants to make your holiday shopping easy!

Fourteen years ago the Parents Association (PA) created a voluntary gifting program in the month of December to recognize all the fabulous staff members at Howard.  How does it work?  You contribute any amount of money you wish to give and the PA takes all the donations and divides the money evenly among ALL Howard staff members. How much to give? In the past, the PA has received donations from $5 to $500, but the amount is totally up to you. Please know the gift envelopes will be marked “From The Howard School Parents” (not The Howard School Parents Association).

Families may contribute through the link below or by dropping off cash or checks (made out to The Howard School PA) at the reception desks by December 16.

You're Invited to our Rockin' High School Winter Jam

The High School Music class is bringing the music on Friday, December 12 at 1:00pm! 🎵

Students and families are invited to bundle up and enjoy the performance from the quad. As an extra treat, the Senior Economics class will be running the school store during the show. Bring a few dollars in cash for a cup of cocoa and a sweet snack, all proceeds from the school store will be donated to enhance the student experience at The Howard School. 

 

Middle and High School Coat Drive: A Student-Led Initiative

Inspired by our recent Middle and High School Day of Service, students are continuing their efforts to give back with a Middle School and High School Winter Coat Drive to support families in need.

Details:

  • Donation Deadline: December 17

  • Drop-Off Location: MS/HS advisory classes

  • Acceptable Items: new or gently used coats, sweaters, long-sleeve shirts, pants/jeans, mittens, scarves, and new men’s and women’s underwear

 

Reschedule: Parent Walk to Chattahoochee Coffee

This event, originally scheduled for December 9 at 8:30am, has been postponed until early 2026.

Financial Aid Application Deadline Is Approaching!

Financial Aid applications for the 2026–2027 school year opened on September 15, 2025, and the December 15, 2025 deadline is quickly approaching.

Frequently Asked Questions

What information do I need to provide?
You will need to upload your 2024 Federal Tax Returns, supporting schedules and forms, and
W-2s or 1099s.

What other steps must I complete to apply for 2026–2027 Financial Aid?
Both new and returning applicants must complete the 2026–2027 Financial Aid Request Form and the FACTS Grant and Aid Application.
