| | | | The Howard School Shines at the Woodruff Arts Center: Showcasing the Power of the Arts in Learning Earlier last week, The Howard School proudly took the stage at the Woodruff Arts Center before an audience of more than 700 guests. Dr. Anna Moore (pictured below alongside Ángel Cabrera, President of Georgia Tech, and Marcel Foster, President of Performance Hypothesis) represented The Howard School as Atlanta was officially named one of only a few cities in the nation to join the NeuroArts Coalition—a groundbreaking initiative born out of Johns Hopkins University. The NeuroArts Blueprint is a movement uniting scientists, educators, and artists across the country to explore how the arts shape, strengthen, and heal the human brain. As part of this work, our own Howard arts faculty—Carrie Flamer, Caroline Foster, Michael Garrett, Genevieve Lynch, and Jennifer Turko—will engage with artists from The Woodruff Arts Center and researchers from Georgia Tech to deepen our understanding of how the arts enhance learning and life at Howard. This partnership embodies what The Howard School stands for: celebrating the intersection of creativity, neuroscience, and education to transform the learning experience and develop lifelong strengths. |
| | | | Late Start Wednesdays: Drop-Off Begins at 9:30am We kindly ask for your help in ensuring that high school students do not arrive on campus before the official drop-off time of 9:30am, as supervision is not available before then. We understand that mornings can be busy, but arriving at or after 9:30am helps us ensure every student is safely supervised and sets the tone for a smooth start to the day. Thank you for respecting the late start schedule and for helping us maintain a safe, and well-supported environment for all students. |
