Campus Highlights & Important Reminders

Our Middle and High School students recently participated in Dyslexia Day at the Capitol, gaining valuable insights and advocacy tools to support neurodiverse learners. We are also proud to share that our student-athletes represented our community beautifully at the GIAA State Swim Meet—congratulations to all who competed!

Please note that there will be no school on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents Day.

As a reminder, re-enrollment packets are due by the stated deadline. Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our school community.

Important: Re-enrollment Must be Completed by February 19th

Re-enrollment packets for the 2026-2027 academic year were emailed on Thursday, February 5th. Online re-enrollment must be completed by Thursday, February 19th.

Financial Aid Award notifications for the 2026–2027 school year were also sent with students' re-enrollment offer emails on February 5th. Financial Aid Award Letters must be signed and returned via email to the Admissions Office by February 19th.

Middle School Parent Social

Middle School and 8th grade parents are invited to join fellow Howard families this Friday, February 20, at 1:30 p.m. for a casual, parent-hosted gathering before carpool at Agavero Cantina – West Midtown (1133 Huff Rd NW).

We extend our sincere thanks to our Middle School parent volunteers for organizing this event: Adrienne Clark, Michal Liske, Adrianne Meyers, and Trunshedda Ramos. Upon arrival, feel free to connect with them—they’ll be happy to help welcome everyone.

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! 🎨 Don't Miss "Howard at the High Museum" Reception!

Get ready to celebrate our young artists! Just one week from today, Sunday, February 22nd, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, join us at the High Museum of Art for a special reception showcasing artwork by selected Lower and Middle School students. "Howard at the High Museum" is open until March 1st, but the reception is a chance to meet the teachers, mingle with fellow parents, and show your Hawk pride! Enjoy FREE admission to the museum during regular hours by mentioning "Howard at the High Museum" at Guest Relations. See you there!

 

Preparing for What’s Next: College & Post-Secondary Fair (Grades 8–12)

Students and families are invited to attend the Atlanta-Area College and Post-Secondary Fair for Neurodiverse Students, hosted at The Cottage School on March 1 from 2:00–4:00 p.m.

This event offers a valuable opportunity to explore post-secondary pathways designed to support how neurodiverse students learn—and to begin shaping a clear vision for what comes next.

What to Expect:

  • Connect with representatives from colleges and programs that specialize in supporting neurodiverse learners

  • Learn about admissions, financial aid, and available accommodations

  • Discover resources and support services to help students prepare for life after high school

Be sure to visit The Howard School sponsor table and meet College and Next Steps Counselor, Erin Layton.
