Staying Informed About Winter Weather

We carefully monitor weather forecasts throughout the winter months. If hazardous winter weather conditions make it unsafe to travel to campus, we will prioritize the safety of our community by closing school.

For next week, should inclement weather necessitate a school closure, we will:

• Prioritize the safety of our community.
• Communicate promptly through email and social media channels.
• Transition to a virtual learning day.

In the event of a school closure, teachers will provide specific instructions for virtual learning activities.

We understand that unexpected weather events can disrupt schedules. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in these situations.

Celebrate Student Creativity at the High Museum

We're thrilled to announce that artwork by selected Lower and Middle School students will be showcased at the High Museum of Art!

"Howard at the High Museum" will be on display in the Education wing (Greene family gallery) from February 13th to March 17th.

Join us for a special reception on Thursday, February 23rd from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Meet the teachers, chat with museum representatives, and celebrate the incredible creative accomplishments of our talented young artists.

Admission to the High Museum is FREE for families and friends from February 13th - March 17th.

Calling All Parents of Middle and High School Students

Join us for the Atlanta-Area College and Post-Secondary Fair for Neurodiverse Students hosted at The Howard School on February 23 from 2:00-6:00 pm.

What to Expect:

• Meet with representatives from colleges and universities.
• Attend informative workshops on topics like college admissions, financial aid, and accommodations.
• Explore resources and support services available for neurodiverse students.

Special Note: We'll have a dedicated "quiet browsing hour" from 1:00-2:00 PM for students with sensory sensitivities.

Hosted by: Beacon College, The Cottage School, Cumberland Academy, The Howard School, Kennesaw State University, and Mills Springs Academy.

Winter Conversations ❄️

Lower School Winter Conversations will take place Jan. 21- Feb. 3. Please be on the lookout for more information from your child's teacher. Students will have school during this time. 

Virtual Winter Conversations ☃️

Middle School winter conversations will take place Jan. 21-24 over Zoom. Parents- you will receive an email for your child's advisory teacher with a link and more information. Students will have school during these days.
